Alert2Call works by providing you with a unique email address. You can use this email address with your monitoring system, alarm panel, IoT device, or similar setup. When an email is sent to this address, Alert2Call verifies the sender against your list of approved senders. If the sender is authorised, the system immediately initiates a call to the numbers on your contact list using TTS to read out the email or custom message.
Yes, you can add as many callers as you like but each caller counts towards notifications. So if you have a plan with 500 notifications/month and a list of 5 numbers, we’ll only be able to process 100 emails into calls in that billing period.
Currently Alert2Call only works with UK Mobile (07) and UK Landline numbers. It does not work with personal/follow-me numbers (070) – there is a plan to make this available to the rest of the world.
Alert2Call is a solution by Plexatalk (Owned by DMV Telecom Ltd)
If calls aren’t being triggered, you’ll need to check your approved senders. If you’ve done that and you’re still having issues, get in touch and we’ll take a look.
Assuming voicemail is enabled, the voice message will be left there. If it’s not then the call will end upon your airtime provider telling Alert2Call your phone is busy or unavailable.
Yes, all support is provided by Plexatalk
Yes, there are settings for “open hours”, during these times your phone will be called – it may be that you want your “open hours” the inverse of your open hours if this is for an alarm system?
These will be dropped straight away if they’re not in your approved senders, if your email address has been leaked and we’re getting emails from a spoofed approved sender, you probably should speak your alarm system provider, IoT supplier, etc as there’s probably been a data breach on their part.
No free trial. Just monthly plans at affordable prices.
You can’t, the system won’t make more calls than its limit. If you keep nearing your limit you may get emails suggesting to upgrade.
You can indeed but if you decide to close your account, we can not supply the same email address you have at present.
